Château des Annereaux, Les Annereaux 2020

Château Les Annereaux is based in the storied appellation of Lalande-Pomerol, Bordeaux, and has been in the Hessel family since the 14th Century. Its current custodian, Benjamin Hessel, converted the vineyards to fully organic in 2005 and prides himself on making exceptional wines whilst maintaining the greatest respect for nature. Les Annereaux 2020 is the estate's second wine, taken from slightly younger vines, made from a blend of 98% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot. The nose has notes of black cherry, plum, redcurrant and vanilla. The palate is rich, with strong tannins and a nice crunchy acidity to balance. A strong pair with steaks or other hearty dishes.
